New Orleans Saints travel to Florida on Sunday to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with both teams enjoying solid seasons so far. This game will be crucial for determining the outcome of the NFC South this season, with the Bucs currently just ahead of the Saints. This is therefore an ideal game to have been chosen for primetime Sunday night football TV coverage. With the Bucs heading into the game on the back of three consecutive victories, the home side looks to hold a slight advantage. Here, you can find out where we think the best betting value can be found.
Two thoroughbred QBs face off
New Orleans has a 5-2 record heading into this game, with the Bucs having a 6-2 record. TV viewers must be eagerly anticipating this clash, as it promises plenty of entertainment with both sides in such strong form. Victory in this game would give the Saints an advantage in the head-to-head series between the teams this season, something that could well turn out to be vital when it comes to determining who will top the NFC South by the time the end of the season rolls round.
One of the more intriguing contests in this game will be between the two quarterbacks. Tom Brady is in his debut season for the Bucs after spending most of his career with the New England Patriots. In week one when the two teams met, it was Brees who ended up holding the advantage, but Brady has found his form in recent games. The former Patriot has thrown 17 touchdown passes and just one interception in his last six games.
The two quarterbacks are also currently tussling it out to see which one of them will hold the all-time NFL record for touchdown passes. Brady currently holds the advantage by 561 to 560, but the lead could well change hands again on Sunday. The Bucs have won six of seven since their opening day defeat at the Saints, but the visitors have won their last four. It could be a very close game indeed.
Our Pick: Tampa Bay to win by 1-6
This game will be a close one, and with two legendary quarterbacks going head-to-head fans can expect some fireworks in offense. We think that Brady will edge the contest of the thoroughbreds on Sunday. There could be plenty of points scored, but we think that home advantage might just hand the Bucs the edge they need to squeak a narrow victory. Tampa are undefeated at home in 2020, and we expect that run to continue on Sunday. The Saints will be arriving in Florida full of motivation and confidence, though, so spectators can expect fireworks.
