Los Angeles Rams make the long trip east to Florida to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the Raymond James Stadium on Monday. Veteran quarterback Tom Brady will want to help his team improve on their 7-3 record and continue their push for a play-off place. He will need to overcome the Rams’ defense though – one of the meanest in the NFL. Viewers of Monday night football could be in for a treat, with both of these teams heading into this game on the back of victories. Read on to see where the best betting value can be found!

Can Brady Steer the Bucs to Victory?

This game could come down to which of the two quarterbacks plays better. The Bucs, of course, have one of the all-time greats playing in that position on Monday, in the veteran form of Tom Brady. Brady has passed for 2,739 yards this season, and has a completion rate of 66%, with 254 of 385 passes being successful. He averages 273.9 yards per game, and has thrown for 23 touchdowns and seven interceptions. His opposite number, Jared Goff, has a similar record, having completed 213 of 321 passes for a 66.4% completion rate. He has passed for 2,446 yards and 13 touchdowns, and has been intercepted just six times.

Brady will be looking to hit receiver Mike Evans, who has caught 40 passes for 514 yards and eight touchdowns. The Rams have their own offensive threat in the shape of running back Malcolm Brown. Brown has carried the ball 81 times this season for a total tally of 346 yards and five touchdowns. Jason Pierre-Paul will be one of the Bucs’ defense men who will be looking to stop Brown. He has a team-leading 7.5 sacks to his name, as well as five TFL, 38 tackles and one interception.

This game could well turn out to be a battle between the defenses. The Rams are second in the NFL overall on defense, with the Bucs just behind them in third. They have allowed the second and eighth fewest points respectively. Rams head coach Shaun McVay knows how to unpick a defense, though, having shaped the offense that took LA to the Super Bowl just two seasons ago.

Our Pick: Rams to win by 1-6

Our tip for this game is that the Rams will edge a close encounter by one to six points. 888Sport are offering odds of +380 for that prediction turning out to be accurate, and that looks like a tempting price to us. Tampa Bay does not have a great record under the bright lights of Monday night football, with two of their three defeats this season coming in front of a prime time audience. This could be an exciting encounter for neutrals to enjoy, but might be a nail-biter for fans of the teams.

Our pick: Rams to win by 1-6 @ +380 with 888Sport
