Valentin Castellanos has scored in all four games in the league so far, and will definitely be looking to extend his impressive run of form in the next game – where NYCFC are considered heavy favourites.
Toronto FC
In contrast to their weekend opponents, Toronto have had a disappointing start to the league, winless in their first three games. An opening day 4-2 loss on the road to Candian rivals CF Montreal was not what Toronto had hoped for. Neither was the 2-2 draw that followed, at home to Vancouver Whitecaps. Another disappointing loss away from home against New York Red Bulls in their latest match has resulted in Chris Armas’ men without a win in the league. Now, Toronto faces arguably their toughest matchup yet, going toe-to-toe with NYCFC in New York.

With the two teams’ completely contrasting starts to the season, it’s no surprise that New York City FC are favourites heading into the tie.
