We’re heading into Week 6 of the NFL regular season, and there has already been plenty of exciting football action. This week, we’re focusing on an interesting matchup between two of last year’s playoff franchises, as the Kansas City Chiefs travel to FedExField to play the Washington Football Team.
Would anyone have said that the Kansas City Chiefs would be 2-3 after five games, and bottom of the AFC West? We certainly doubt it, but after their latest loss against the Buffalo Bills - last year’s AFC Championship opponent - that’s where the Chiefs currently stand. It’s been tough for Kansas City, with a tough schedule to start the season, but the defense has struggled against top franchises so far. Now, they’re set to battle Washington on Sunday.
It’s been an up & down season for the Washington Football Team, who have two wins so far against the New York Giants & Atlanta Falcons. However, in their latest game against the New Orleans Saints, Washington came up short and lost 33-22 at home. Taylor Heinicke struggled in week 5, throwing two interceptions & no touchdowns against the Saints, and now will face a Chiefs defense with a point to prove.
After analyzing all of the information, including the current situation of both franchises, we are predicting that Patrick Mahomes & Co. bounce back and come away victorious on Sunday afternoon. It will certainly be an interesting matchup, but the Chiefs should do enough to secure the win and go 3-3 after week 6. Both defenses are looking to improve, so we could see a low scoring affair, but Kansas City are likely to get the win.
BetMGM are offering odds of +333 for the Chiefs to win by a winning margin of 7-12 points - make the most of the generous odds today!
