Arizona Cardinals vs Buffalo Bills Match Preview
Bills by 1-6 · November 15 2020 - 4:05 pm · State Farm Stadium
The Arizona Cardinals welcome the Buffalo Bills to Glendale this Sunday for what looks to be a mouth-watering NFL battle. The home side are current joint second-place in the NFC West with a 5-3 record, and lost last weekend to the Miami Dolphins 34-31. The Bills top the AFC East with a 7-2 record, and they looked very good last weekend in their victory over the Seattle Seahawks. There is plenty to play for, with both teams pushing hard for play-off places. You can find out where some of the game’s best betting value lies by reading this preview.
John Brown’s knee could be key
The Cardinals are going into this game on the back of a heartbreaking defeat to the Dolphins last weekend. After facing a half-time deficit, the men from Arizona rallied to lead in the second half after scoring two touchdowns in the third quarter. Zane Gonzalez missed a 49-yard field goal that would have tied matters up, though, causing bitter disappointment. Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray was impressive against Miami, passing for 389 yards and four touchdowns. He threw no interceptions, but his performance was tarnished a little by one fumble and one sack. He will need to be on form against a Bills team that possesses a ruthlessly strong defense. But the Cardinals are strong defensively too – they have allowed just 22.5 points per game on average this season.
The Bills were outstandingly dominant on offense in their victory over the Seahawks last time out, winning 44-34. They scored five touchdowns and never once lost the lead during the entire game. The Bills now top the AFC East by a two-game margin over Miami, and also posses the third-best record in the entire AFC. They have won their last three games and are no building some serious momentum. Quarterback Josh Allen was outstanding last weekend, throwing for 415 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran for a touchdown of his own. He hit receiver John Brown eight times for 99 yards – if Brown can play through his nagging knee injury this week then that combination could pay dividends for Buffalo once again.
Our Pick: Bills to win by 1-6
This is a really tough game to call, but we suspect that the mighty Bills will extend their winning run to four games – but only just. We would not be surprised to see this game head into overtime before it reaches its conclusion. As it stands, our tip comes from 888Sport, who are offering odds of +370 on the Bills winning by a one to six point margin. Arizona’s defeat last week showed that perhaps they have not quite got the resilience to close out tight games, and that tendency could see them come up short this week.
