BetOnline Casino is an illegal offshore casino and is best avoided by all US players. Throughout this review, we'll explain in more detail why we don't recommend that US customers play here.
Like many other offshore casinos, BetOnline Casino online provides its services without any form of license at all. This means that the casino is operating in a very grey area and this is a big red flag. We'll try to answer the question "is BetOnline Casino legit?", explain what the site offers, and also underline why it is not a good idea for US players to play here.
When it comes to bonuses and other promos, the operator offers nothing of worth – just another reason why the site is best avoided.
For poker players, there are site-hosted and private tournaments that are extremely risky and that you should avoid getting involved in. For some of these tournaments, a BetOnline freeroll password is required. Some of the other paawords required are BetOnline cardschat freeroll password and BetOnline jackpot freeroll password. We recommend that you don't use any of them.
On top of all that, there are also all the same risks we’ve discussed earlier. While the operator does offer some (poor quality) bonuses, it doesn’t mean your money is safe or that you’re guaranteed a payout when you happen to win.
For a reliable casino bonus you can use, be sure to check out the latest Golden Nugget welcome bonus code which gives you a deposit bonus up to $1,000. Or, why not take up the $10 no deposit offer from the current Mohegan Sun online bonus code instead?
Like all offshore operators, BetOnline Casino is an incredibly risky place to gamble and should be completely avoided – we can't stress this enough.
Instead, we recommend checking out one of the many modern state-licensed US casino sites.
When it comes to the banking department, the risks of using this operator become even more evident. As well as being unlicensed, cryptocurrencies themselves are volatile and risky in nature. In all honesty, all we have found here is red flag after red flag - AVOID!
BetOnline casino claims that withdrawals will normally be processed within one hour and won't take any longer than 48 hours to land in your account. However, the many customer reviews we've seen do not back up these claims whatsoever. Our experience was also very, very poor. We never recommend sites to our readers if they have a reputation for slow and withheld payouts, so BetOnline Casino falls firmly in our 'untrustworthy' category.
The customer support department can be reached via live chat, direct phone line, as well as several dedicated email addresses. However, we wouldn't bother even getting to the stage where you have to use them. As well as the site being completely illegal for US players, the customer service is truly awful.
Like all offshore operators, this site is risky, illegal and poor overall. There are numerous reasons to steer clear and stick to state-licensed casinos instead.
With all offshore sites, you’re always running a risk of losing your money to unforeseen circumstances or having your personal information exposed or getting into the wrong hands. Even with a serious operator, there are things that can get out of hand that could force them to shut down their operation. If this happens, you have no protection whatsoever given the fact you’re playing at an unlicensed casino.
This means that should BetOnline Casino go under, US players who have money here could forget about getting any of it back. All the deposits and any winnings still in the account would be simply gone and you’d have no one to turn to. Don't risk it – use a licensed operator instead!
Of course, this is just one small fraction of the puzzle. On the players’ end, playing with these offshore operators is against the law in all states, and you might even be at risk of being prosecuted. And of course, you need to report your winnings for taxation purposes to avoid other complications but this can be hard if your winnings originated from an online casino that is not regulated in your jurisdiction. So all in all, players are simply better off staying away from offshore operators altogether and sticking to state-licensed sites instead as there are hardly any upsides to playing at these unregulated casinos.
Bottom line, this operator is definitely not going to be recommended at all, and is very risky for US players.
The BetOnline casino doesn’t have a traditional reward program, as if you needed more reasons to avoid this site! We recommend you use a different site as this platform does not suffice for US players.
The BetOnline casino contains a very limited number of poor and unreputable developers. Another reason to take your business to a regulated and licensed legal online casino instead.
The BetOnline Casino games library is awful. There is a poor selection of slots, and the same goes for blackjack and other casino card games. BetOnline blackjack is one to particularly avoid, as there have been rumors about BetOnline blackjack rigged tables. We conducted a thorough BetOnline blackjack review and the results we appalling. Avoid this site!
In addition to the casino section, the operator also offers online poker, with a number of BetOnline freeroll tournaments players that are extremely dodgy. Additionally, beyond freerolls, the number of players actually found at the tables is quite small, so those looking for poker action should definitely look for a legal site instead.
Players who enjoy live casino action will find absolutely nothing worth shouting about here. The site does offer a live dealer section with a number of basic options, such as roulette, blackjack, and baccarat. However, the games cannot be trusted, the site is unlicensed and overall the risk of playing live dealer games here is huge.
As we don't recommend you get involved with playing at the BetOnline casino, talking about the limits is completely irrelevant.
BetOnline doesn't have any form of US licensing and for that reason alone we
do not recommend playing at BetOnline casino
or at any of the BetOnline spin-off sites either.
Players need to always be careful when dealing with offshore operators as they don’t undergo the same level of scrutiny as state-licensed casinos. There is a high chance this site is rigged and therefore we recommend using a licensed operator instead.
Yes, playing at offshore casinos is illegal in the US and you run a huge risk. With the regulation moving forward, this could become an even bigger issue.
Like any other income or winnings, you need to report even winnings from an offshore casino for taxes. Otherwise, you might have problems if there is ever an audit on your accounts.
If you’re playing from the US, you do need to be at least 21 to join BetOnline Casino. But actually it is illegal for everyone in the US, so don't play here at all, no matter what age you are!
Not at all. Your odds of winning are always better with licensed US casinos.
The online gambling climate in the US is certainly changing. Some years ago, players from the States could only turn to less than reputable offshore operators if they wanted to play online casino games or place a sports wager. Nowadays, several states have passed bills regulating online gambling activities and more are to follow moving forward.
This is certainly bad news for offshore sites as they are getting competition in the form of regulated, state-licensed operators who have to do things by the book. Given the choice, most players will take their action to these regulated casinos and bookies, as they know their money is much safer here and, should they happen to win, they’re guaranteed to get their winnings.
So, within a few years, offshore operators could (hopefully) become a thing of the past. With players having better alternatives and governments doing their part to block these sites, US players will no longer be at risk of placing their hard-earned money with the sites that employ very questionable practices across the board. Slowly but surely, iGaming regulation is entering the United States and we will soon reach a point where unlicensed online casinos and bookmakers will have nothing to offer to US players.
Offshore casinos like BetOnline are never worth the risk you run every time you place your money with them, as their business is against state and federal laws.
If you’re looking to try your luck, you should always and only play with recommended state-regulated internet casinos. With these sites, you’ll always know where you’re at and if you do get lucky enough to win, you can count on your winnings being paid promptly and without hassle. So why put yourself at risk of unnecessary problems if you don’t have to?
I tried this casino at the beginning of this month and with every "declined deposit" their processors would still take the money from my bank account without ever making the deposit to my Casino account.
This false predator of a server named MEGA LIGHT E and MEGA LIGHT EMPREEN , have captured my name and card information and continues to try to extort money from my bank account. In addition to the two out of five deposits that actually did credit my account at first(at which every game I played did not win a single penny nor any bonus rounds) the false decline attempts showed up in my account continuously attempting to get paid days and weeks later and they changed the dollar amounts and their name ever so slightly to try to get this money from my bank even though I have filed a claims against them for each attempt. My bank's fraud department is tracing them to be able to stop them but now whenever I attempt to deposit to any casino they are right behind me and piggybacking on my deposit using the same fraudulent disgusting tactics causing me to have to cancel my card each time. I just wanted everybody to know about my experience and to warn them not to waste their money and time with this pathetic excuse of an online casino. Even when I called to complain the person barely acknowledge the situation and pretended to see what I was talking about and sent me a butchered email acknowledging the situation but then never resolving it. So I conclude that even the staff that answers the phone is as crooked as they come as well. Good thing my bank is after them and will catch them! I hope no one else will be monetarily abused by this fake company. Watch out and take care of business everyone!
