Since the first four New York sports betting sites first went live on January 8, we’ve already seen a fifth sportsbook launched.
BetMGM Sportsbook was launched just over a week later on January 17. It seems like things are moving fast in New York, with operators trying their best to launch in the Empire State as soon as possible
So without further ado, let’s take a look at what other online sportsbooks are likely to launch in New York, and when.
In addition to the five sportsbooks that are already live in New York, another four have been approved. All we are waiting for is official launch dates for each of the remaining four betting sites set to launch in NY in 2022.
So when are we likely to see them? We don’t know exactly when at this stage - the only thing we are sure of is that we will see them all go live soon. Reports are strongly suggesting that all four books are aiming to be live in time for the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 13, 2022.
We’ll take your through the list of NY sprotsbooks that are coming soon in 2022 below. First of all though, let’s take a look at the NY sportsbooks that are legal since Janaury 8th.
Like the majority of online sportsbooks, WynnBet is backed by a casino resort brand. However, it is a relatively new operator to the US sportsbetting landscape in general, and will certainly offer something different to New York sports gamblers.
Speaking of something different, sports betting apps don’t get more unique than PointsBet. This Australian betting brand is focussed on a different type of betting from tradition sports wagering, known as spread betting.
BallyBet is a relatively small mobile betting site that’s currently online live in three states - Colorado, Iowa, Indiana and Virginia. Their acquisition of a New York State Gaming Comission license in their first big coup as they look to expand and grow their brand.
Resorts world is the least-established name on the list of incoming NY sportsbooks. The only state to currently have a Resorts World betting app live is Nevada. However, as New York State is home to multiple Resorts World Casinos, they are sable to launch their sports betting app in the Empire State. We’re intrigued to see what the app is like when it’s launched.
