We head into the last week of the MLB season with the playoff pictures becoming much clearer with only the AL Wild Card looking like the only spots that are still yet to be determined. The big story over the last week has been the red-hot St. Louis Cardinals, who have won 16 in a row and have locked up the 2nd NL Wild Card and will likely face the Dodgers.
We only have 5 MLB Games on tap today so let’s take a look at the matchups to see if we can find and Daily Fantasy mismatches:
Kowar (0-4) vs. Quantrall (7-3)
The Indians have done well with Quantrall on the mound this year and they should put up some runs against Kowar, who is 0-4 with a 11.45 ERA.
Pick: Indians Win
Overton (0-0) vs. Sanmartin (0-0)
Two young pitchers getting the start in this matchup which leads me to go with the home team Reds. Look for Votto to have a big day at home.
Pick: Reds Win
Keuchel (8-9) vs. Manning (4-6)
The Tigers have played well down the stretch and should be a contender in 2022. I like the Tigers to get the win today with Manning on the hill and with Chicago resting up for the playoffs.
Pick: Tigers Win
Gray (1-2) vs. Marquez (12-10)
The Rockies have the pitching edge in this matchup and are at home in hitter-friendly Coors field. I like the Rockies in this matchup.
Pick: Rockies
Irvin (10-14) vs. Flexen (13-6)
Both teams struggled down the stretch and this should be a competitive series. I like the Marniners at home with Flexen on the bump as he has been solid all year with a 3.56 ERA
Pick: Mariners Win
