But first of all, we’ll need to figure out if Betway is actually legal and available in New York, or if it is likely to become so in the near future.
So is Betway Sports legal in New York?
As of right now, Betway sports does not have a license to operate in the state of New York. If you already have a Betway NJ account or were simply eyeing up Betway as your first sports betting provider, then you’ll need to look at some alternative for now, which we’ve kindly provided you with below.
There are currently four sportsbooks available in New York state, with another five pre-approved to launch sometime in 2022 should they meet all of the necessary regulatory requirements. Unfortunately, Betway isn’t one of the four currently live, and neither is it one of those five set to launch later on in the year.

So when could we see Betway Sports launch in NY?
At this stage absolutely nothing is certain. New York sports betting is still very much in its infancy, though early indicators suggest that it is going to be a huge success - and grow rapidly as an industry as a result.
However, given that 2022 will see a total of nine online and mobile sportsbooks launch in the Empire State, it’s highly unlikely that we will see Betway Sports NY launch in 2022. If we are to see Betway become legal in New York, we’re most likely looking at an early 2023 launch in the very best-case scenario.
