If you haven’t yet heard of it, Betfred is one of the biggest sportsbooks over in the UK, that now has a subsidiary here in the US. Betfred is currently available in a handful of legal US gambling states, including Iowa, Colorado, and Pennsylvania.
Ahead of the launch of Louisiana sports betting on January 28, there were a lot of rumors circulating that Betfred would be among the six sportsbooks to launch on that day.
Unfortunately, however, Betfred was not one of the six sportsbooks to go live on launch day, and nor has it yet gone live.
However, we do expect it to go live sometime in the near future, so let’s take a look at what we know so far.
Betfred is currently available to bettors in Louisiana, but only for in-person betting. You can find the Betfred retail location at the Paragon Casino Resort in Marksville. If you’re looking to use Betfred online in Louisiana, you’re going to have to wait a little longer though.
How long? At this stage, we don’t have an exact date - but we’re definitely expecting it to be sooner rather than later.
Louisianans can alert register a Betfred Sportsbook account and claim a pre-launch bonus of $150. We can therefore only assume that the launch of Betfred LA is imminent.
If you don’t want to wait around for Betfred in Louisiana, there are already six online sportsbooks that are legal in Louisiana right now.
Our current top recommended Louisiana betting site right now is BetMGM Sportsbook, who are currently offering a risk-free bet worth up to $1000 for all new LA customers. You can register your BetMGM account and claim this offer below!
