Saturday gets going with a great set of games with multiple teams looking to extend long winning streaks. The Yankees looking for their 9th straight win and Dodgers their 10th straight win and both have their Ace starting for them at home today. Another game worth watching is in Cleveland where two future aces battle head to head with Reid Detmers vs Triston McKenzie.
Daily Fantasy Lineup:
P: Max Scherzer $10500
C/1B: Ty France $3200
2B: Chris Taylor $3400
3B: Wilmer Flores $2900
SS: Nicky Lopez $2700
OF: Frammil Reyes $3200
OF: Avisail Garcia $3100
OF: Cedric Mullins $3200
UTIL: Lucas Voit $2800
Minnesota Twins @ New York Yankees 1:05 PM ET
Maeda (6-4) vs Cole (11-6)
The Yankees are still on fire as on the baseball’s best second half teams and have their Ace going today with Garrit Cole.
Pick: Yankees -1.5
Daily Fantasy picks:
Jorge Polanco (SS)
Aaron Judge (OF)
Anthony Rizzo (1B)
Lucas Voit (1B)
Chicago White Sox @ Tampa Bay Rays 1:10 PM ET
Keuchel (8-6) vs Patino (2-3)
This is a tough task for rookie Luis Patino but the Rays play so well at home, especially vs lefties. Take the Rays to bounce back after losing game 1.
Pick: Rays Win
Daily Fantasy picks:
Jose Abreu (1B)
Andrew Vaughn (1B/OF)
Brandon Lowe (2B)
Wander Franco (SS)
Kansas City Royals @ Chicago Cubs 2:20 PM ET
Bubic (3-6) vs Thompson (3-2)
Two struggling teams, however the Royals won game after winning their series against the Astro’s. Take the Royals to keep rolling.
Pick: Royals Win
Daily Fantasy picks:
Nicky Lopez (SS)
Ian Happ (OF)
Detroit Tigers @ Toronto Blue Jays 3:07 PM ET
Peralta (3-2) vs Ryu (11-6)
The Blue Jays continue to struggle, losing 7 of 10 and 3 straight. They have to find a way to get back on track and today behind Ryu should be the day to do it.
Pick: Blue Jays -1.5
Daily Fantasy picks:
Jonathan Schoop (1B/2B)
Bo Bichette (SS)
Teoscar Hernandez (OF)
New York Mets @ Los Angeles Dodgers 4:05 PM ET
Hill (6-4) vs Scherzer (10-4)
Beloved Rich Hill makes his return to Dodger Stadium but up against Ace and one of baseballs all time best, Max Scherzer. The Dodgers crush lefties, especially at home. Rich Hill might get a boost with his heart and crows in it for him, but the Dodgers have won 9 straight and should make it 10.
Pick: Dodgers -1.5
Daily Fantasy picks:
JD Davis (3B)
AJ Pollock (OF)
Chris Taylor (OF)
Will Smith (C)
Washington Nationals @ Milwaukee Brewers 4:05 PM ET
Espino (3-4) vs Lauer (4-4)
The Nats took game 1 of this series but the Brewers should bounce back and take game 2 behind Eric Lauer who has pitched very well when he’s started.
Pick: Brewers -1.5
Daily Fantasy picks:
Carter Kieboom (3B)
Avisail Garcia (OF)
Rowdy Tellez (1B)
San Francisco Giants @ Oakland Athletics 4:07 PM ET
Gausman (12-5) vs Manaea (8-8)
The A’s took game one of the Bay Bridge series but with how bad Sean Manaea has pitched in his last 5 outings, I would lean towards the Kevin Gausman and the Giants in game 2.
Pick: Giants Win
Daily Fantasy picks:
Kris Byant (3B/OF)
Wilmer Flores (3B)
Matt Olson (1B)
Starling Marte (OF)
Los Angeles Angels @ Cleveland Indians 4:10 PM ET
Detmers (1-2) vs McKenzie (2-5)
This game would be fun to watch to see two future Aces square off between Reid Detmers and Triston McKenzie. McKenzie has been outstanding his last 3 outings and Detmers is coming off his best start in his young career.
Pick: Indians Win
Daily Fantasy picks:
Jared Walsh (1B)
Max Stassi (C)
Triston McKenzie (SP)
Frammil Reyes (OF)
Seattle Mariners @ Houston Astros 4:10 PM ET
Gilbert (5-4) vs Odorizzi (5-6)
The Astro’s came out swinging game 1 to crush the Mariners 12-3. Today should be a bit different against star rookie Logan Gilbert. I’m still having a hard time trusting the Mariners, but they keep finding ways to win, so I think they come back and take game 2.
Pick: Mariners Win
Daily Fantasy picks:
Mitch Haniger (OF)
Jose Altuve (2B)
Yordan Alvarez (UTIL)
Miami Marlins @ Cincinnati Reds 6:40 PM ET
Thompson (2-5) vs Miley (10-4)
Wade Miley has been great at home this season and the Reds offense up against a rookie is too good to take the other side.
Pick: Reds -1.5
Daily Fantasy picks:
Lewis Brinson (OF)
Tyler Naquin (OF)
Joey Votto (1B)
Jesse Winker (OF)
Atlanta Braves @ Baltimore Orioles 7:05 PM ET
Smyly (8-3) vs Harvey (6-12)
The Orioles losing streak is now at 16 games. Today might be their best chance to win against the Braves as Drew Smyly has been inconsistent while Matt Harvey has been the O’s best starter. Still very difficult to justify this…but I’m taking the Orioles!
Pick: Orioles Win
Daily Fantasy picks:
Freddie Freeman (1B)
Ozzie Albies (2B)
Ryan Mountcastle (1B/3B)
Cedric Mullins (OF)
Texas Rangers @ Boston Red Sox 7:10 PM ET
Lyles (5-10) vs Rodriguez (9-6)
Not a great pitching matchup but Jordan Lyles is very hittable and with the Red Sox superior lineup, I’ll take the much better offense here.
Pick: Red Sox -1.5
Daily Fantasy picks:
Adolis Garcia (OF)
Rafael Devers (3B)
Jarren Duran (OF)
Pittsburgh Pirates @ St Louis Cardinals 7:15 PM ET
Peters (0-1) vs Happ (7-6)
The Pirates took game one of this series but are still one of baseballs worst teams, so I can’t see them winning two in a row, even in a really bad pitching matchup. I like the over more.
Pick: Over
Daily Fantasy picks:
Ke’Bryan Hayes (3B)
Nolan Arenado (3B)
Paul Goldschmidt (1B)
Arizona D-Backs @ Colorado Rockies 8:10 PM ET
Gallen (1-7) vs Freeland (4-6)
The Rockies continue to crush at home and now have won 4 straight. Stick with that trend today.
Pick: Rockies -1.5
Daily Fantasy picks:
Ketel Marte (2B/SS)
Charlie Blackmon (OF)
Trevor Story (SS)
Philadelphia Phillies @ San Diego Padres 8:40 PM ET
Nola (7-7) vs Musgrove (8-8)
This is a really good pitching matchup so this game could go either way. The Padres have lost 4 straight and 8 of 10 while the Phillies have lost 7 of 10. I think it’s time the Padres get back in the win column before their wild card spot slips away.
Pick: Padres Win
Daily Fantasy picks:
Ronald Torreyes (SS/3B)
Tommy Pham (OF)
Jake Cronenworth (2B)
