Some reports have suggested that hackers were able to change the phone number used in the two-factor authentication to make it their own and then access the customers’ accounts.
The hackers were then able to access the accounts of the DraftKings customers with the stolen login information. DraftKing has issued a statement to say that less than $300,000 of customer funds were affected by the hack and that the brand would, ‘make whole any customer that was impacted.’
What to do now
Check your account:
The first thing you need to do is to log in to your DraftKings account and see whether you were affected by the hack. Keep your eye out for any unusual deposits or withdrawals that were made over the past weekend.
Contact DraftKings: If your account has been compromised, get in touch with the DraftKings customer service team via the support@draftkings.com email address and report the issue. Be sure to include any evidence such as screenshots or details of missing funds.
