Here at Captain Gambling our betting experts always relish the chance to tell you all about the best available online betting options for Australian punters, and here we’re going to tell you about Bbet.
Bbet Australia is an online sportsbook that offers punters a pretty extensive range of sports betting options. The site’s simple site design makes it easy to use, and there is a good choice of payment methods on offer. If you’re curious about what our Bbet ratings are, then keep reading yet another of our extensive and up-to-date BBet reviews.

The Bbet Australia website is uncluttered and very clean, with a nice white screen and blue and orange text. The sports are clearly listed along the top of the screen and are very easy to find, in a similar format to the one we found while carrying out our Beteasy and Topsport reviews. The process of placing a bet is very simple, with you simply clicking on the market you require before it is added to your bet slip, which appears in the centre of the screen. While finding markets is relatively easy, the process of placing a bet does appear very different to how other operators manage the process, and it might feel a little ponderous and cumbersome if you are more used to betting online at bookies with a slicker site design.
The overall impression is that the website is functional rather than flashy, and this bookie certainly doesn’t have the slick appearance of many of its rivals. There is nothing wrong with the overall design, but the focus is certainly on usability of style in the case of Bbet. The Bbet ratings are certainly steady in this section of our Bbet reviews, however.
The range of payment methods on offer to Bbet punters is clearly displayed along the bottom of the homepage. You can use Visa and Mastercard to make deposits via Webdosh and bank transfer via Poli. The funds can take up to 72 hours to appear in your Bbet account. You can also deposit directly into Bbet’s bank account or use Bpay, and this can take up to five days to process. You can also deposit cash at any Westpac branch that will be placed in your Bbet account. Bbet will also accept cheques and the address to send them to can be found in the website’s help section.
For withdrawals of any winnings that you might be lucky enough to have claimed, you can withdraw them to the same credit card you used to deposit funds. Credit card customers must have the same amount of winnings as the amount that they deposited returned back to the same credit card account, but anything in excess of that can be paid to your bank account.
If Bbet reviews these arrangements to make the process more streamlined it might be helpful, but we found nothing wrong with the choice of payment methods on offer here. We would certainly award steady Bbet ratings for payment method options. If you want to see how another bookie measures up in this regard, check out our Beteasy ratings.
The customer service options at Bbet are nice and uncomplicated but could possibly be more extensive. Although you can find the Bbet Australia contact details by clicking on the Contact tab at the bottom of the homepage, where you are given an email address and a postal address. We were a little disappointed with these options, as many online bookies now provide punters with the convenient contact option of live chat. It is also useful to have an actual telephone number available so that you can speak to a real person if your query is a little more complicated than usual.
Hopefully, Bbet reviews this situation soon and offers a live chat option. It would certainly improve the Bbet ratings in this section. Although an email address is useful, it would certainly be helpful if there were more options available for customer service contact. Other betting sites for Australia certainly have more impressive options in place.
When we were putting together our Bbet reviews we were pleased to see that the site was properly licensed. This is important, as it reassures customers that their account details and transactions are being kept properly safe. BBet is licensed by Racing NSW and they are guaranteed by the NSW Bookmakers Cooperative, so that should reassure anyone who is wondering is Bbet reliable, or is Bbet secure? This licensing situation means that Bbet is fully licensed to operate in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria.
Bbet also states that it uses the highest levels of security when protecting customer transactions, There is also a dedicated section on the website for responsible gaming tips and advice, and this includes links and a telephone number for NSW Gambling Help, as well as statements of responsibility from Bbet. The option also exists for you to use self-exclusion tools on the website if you feel you require further protection from any addictive patterns of behaviour. Bbet ratings are once again strong in this area of service. If you ‘re wondering about other operators and asking questions like ‘is Unibet secure?’ then check out some of our other reviews.
Bonuses cannot be advertised in Australia so we were disappointed to see when we were composing our Bbet reviews that there was no loyalty or VIP programme in place. While we would hope that bonuses can be offered in Australia in future, as things stand it is impossible for us to describe any kind of VIP programme at Bbet Australia or offer any Bbet ratings in this section. If you read our Moneyball reviews you can compare the situation at Bbet to other bookmakers.
Bbet Australia has its roots as a horseracing specialist and it is based at Canterbury Park racecourse in Sydney – something that will give you a good idea about where the best range of betting markets can be found. As soon as you open up the Bbet Australia site, horse racing markets are presented to you. As well as races from Australia and New Zealand, you are given the opportunity to bet on races from all over the world, including South Africa, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland and Japan.
But your options for betting go far beyond horseracing at Bbet. In addition to betting on racing, you can also find markets for soccer, rugby union, cricket and tennis, as well as boxing and MMA. The markets available for soccer are particularly extensive, with markets available on competitions like the English Premier League, the Scottish Premiership, the German Bundesliga and many more. The range of tennis tournaments covered is also extensive, and you can bet on rugby union games from as far afield as France if you favour a wager or two on the 15-a-side code of rugby. Cricket options are also good, and you can place bets on the world’s top Twenty20 Leagues like the BBL and the IPL, as well as Test cricket and One Day internationals.
Bizarrely, however, there are no markets available for rugby league or Aussie Rules footy. This strikes us as pretty odd for an Australian site, and we were really disappointed that we couldn’t place any NRL or AFL bets at Bbet. The Bbet ratings are strong when it comes to the choice of horse racing markets, but they falter when it comes to offering a good choice on Aussie favourites like the AFL or NRL. This type of limitation might get you wondering about other bookmakers and asking questions like ‘Is Bet365 reliable’ – the answer to which you can find here at Captain Gambling.
In general, we found that the odds on offer at Bbet compared pretty favourably with those available at other bookies in Australia. In truth, you are not going to find massive variation in odds when it comes to betting online these days, and if you want to find the best possible value then you need to be patient and be prepared to compare two or three options.
We did not see any major variations in the prices on offer for the top events in cricket and soccer. Obviously, there are no odds currently available for AFL and rugby league, and we did find this pretty disappointing, despite the value on offer on the horse racing markets.
It is not possible to place any in-play bets at Bbet currently, which is something else that we found disappointing. We certainly hope that Bbet reviews this situation soon and starts to offer some live betting options as this is an exciting and thrilling way to bet. It would certainly improve the Bbet ratings if there were some live betting options on offer. There are other bookmakers that do offer extensive options when it comes to in-play betting and you can compare these bookies with Bbet by checking out our other reviews here at Captain Gambling.
One thing that did impress us, however, when we were putting together our Bbet reviews was the availability of live streaming. You can watch a really extensive range of horse racing events at Bbet and you can access the streams even if you are not a registered customer, something that seems very generous to us! You can access the streams from the box at the bottom of the screen so it is easy to access as well as being extensive in the range of races that it covers.
The limits in place at Bbet are very clearly stated. The maximum payout to punters who bet successfully on sporting events is $2000, while for metropolitan gallops its’ $5000. The maximum payout for non-metropolitan gallops is $3000 and $1500 for greyhound, harness or international meetings. The minimum bet limits are state-based rather than being set at a national minimum amount. If you want to check out the specific betting limits at Bbet for yourself then they are clearly displayed in the terms and conditions section of the website.
The sports betting options at Bbet Australia could certainly be improved in some areas. We would love to have seen markets offered for Aussie favourites like the AFL and rugby league, as we found the lack of markets for these sports to be a massively glaring omission. Having said that, we were pleased with the range of options that was available for horse racing, with races from all over the world being covered. It is also a real positive that punters have some live streaming options for watching the horse races on which they can bet. While the live streaming service will hopefully be extended in the future to cover more sports, being able to watch some racing is very welcome.
Overall, we would have to say that this is a solid rather than an exceptional online sportsbook, although there are some significant strengths in their service. While we hope that Bbet sharpens up some areas, such as the range of sports on offer, we believe that this operator is an excellent choice for fans of betting on horseracing.
Our overall view of Bbet is pretty positive, and we certainly liked the unfussy and uncluttered design of the website, despite its relative simplicity it was definitely easy to use. We were very pleased to see how well licensed the site was, and the commitments that have been made to keep customers safe and secure. Obviously, we would have liked to see more bonuses and promotions on offer, but Bbet is circumscribed by Australian law in this regard, so we cannot allow ourselves to get too downhearted about the situation.
Our overall Bbet ratings are certainly positive, although we do hope that Bbet reviews its customer service options soon and offers customers a live chat service. That would certainly sharpen things up a little, but it is important to stress that we have few complaints about Bbet really. We were very pleased to see that some live streaming was available so that punters can watch the horse races on which they have bet. It is worth stating that Bbet is a real horse racing specialist, so it will certainly appeal to punters who enjoy betting on the sport of kings!
