With the New York Giants trailing the New England Patriots by going into the final minutes of Super Bowl 42 they needed a long touchdown drive to take the lead. Deep in his own half, quarterback Eli Manning somehow escaped from a hoard of defenders to unleash a deep ball that wide receiver David Tyree managed to catch with one hand, by pinning the ball against his helmet. Four plays later, Plaxico Burress caught the game-winning pass from Manning to give the Giants a famous win.
