Usability, Look & Feel - A look at the SportChamps Website & App

Website

At risk of going overboard with the praise, the SportChamps website is legitimately excellent, it’s super easy to navigate, is not over complicated and has a sleek and fun design with cartoon-like qualities. Everything is set out in a step by step way, making it easy as pie for betting tournament newbies, however, seasoned tournament punters won’t feel patronised at all. In addition to the nice layout and step by step guide set-up, there are also plenty of 30-second videos explaining who SportChamps are and how their service works. When it comes to betting tournaments, this definitely is one of the best betting sites in Australia.

Colour scheme wise you have a dark blue background with splashes of orange and white - although this might sound a little on the bleak side, SportChamps somehow manage to build it off in a light and fun way. In fact, the only criticism we really have of the site is that it almost has too much of an easy, cartoon feel. Don’t let that put you off though, the animation makes the site feel more fun and friendly rather than childlike. The website is so helpful that the home page actually contains a guide on how to download the equally excellent app, which you’ll find more details about below in our SportChamps ratings.

Mobile app

The SportChamps app is available to both Apple iOS and Android users and is every bit as excellent as their website. The app offers everything that the desktop version of the website does. You can enter tournaments, and create your own, make deposits, enter tips and use the chat to trash talk your opponents - the banter is one of the best parts about sports betting tournaments with SportChamps Australia overall. The app follows the same slick colour scheme and design as the website. In terms of functionality, we didn;t have any problems with loading times, lagging or bugs. Once signed in, the app also keeps running in the background so long as you don’t close it, so you can drift in and out seamlessly while doing other things on your phone. All in all, the SportChamps app offers an excellent solution to social betting tournaments on the move.

Payments - Funding your SportChamps Australia Account

Deposits

The only way to deposit into your SportChamps account is by using your credit/debit card or by bank transfer. The minimum deposit amount is just $1, however, we should point out to you that the lowest entry fee for a paid competition on the SportChamps website is $2. Therefore, making a slightly larger deposit makes a lot more sense. The lack of payment options definitely sets our SportChamps ratings back a little bit, however, the product itself does make up for it. We would, however, one day like to see the introduction of a secure e-payment method such as PayPal or POLi. Such payment methods are better for your overall online safety as they don’t share your payment details or personal data with the merchant.

Withdrawals

The only way to withdraw funds from your SportChamps account is Bank EFT. The minimum withdrawal is just $5 and while there are no details of a maximum withdrawal amount, the maximum you can win per day with SportChamps tournaments is $35,000. There’s no turnover requirement for your withdrawals, however, you do have to have bet through all of your deposit before you can withdraw any winnings.

In most cases, your withdrawal will be processed and the money should be in your bank account within 1 business day. However, withdrawals requested on a weekend or after 5 pm AEST may take longer to process. Once you request a withdrawal, it cannot be amended or cancelled - so make sure you definitely want to withdraw your funds before going for it. Lastly, your withdrawal must be to a bank account that bears the account holder's name on it.

Customer Service - Our SportChamps reviews of the help on offer

You can contact the SportChamps customer service team via either Live Chat or email. Additionally, they do also provide their mailing address, titled with the humour line “Are you one of the 27 people who still post mail?” The quickest and easiest way to contact them is via the live chat, which you can do without being a member or supplying any details. For some answers, however, they may ask for your email as a non-member so that they can send you marketing emails with all the info needed to sign up - which can get a bit annoying, but you can always unsubscribe.

SportChamps Australia promises to respond within minutes, however, we received our first answer quite literally within seconds every time we tested the service. We also tested the service at various times during the day - and even when messaging them around midnight, they were quick to respond. As a nice added touch you get the first name of the person you’re speaking with - no bots here!

For more long-winded or complex enquiries the email team are pretty good and helpful, with responses coming within 24 hours of you getting in touch. As well as the customer service channels, there’s also a “How to Play” section, which gives you step by step guides on how to sign up and play as well as a handful of 30-second videos explaining how it works. We didn’t test the postal service because, well, it’s not the 1970s. The one shortfall in our SportChamps ratings here is the lack of a phone line.

License & Security SportChamps Reviews - Is SportChamps reliable?

So is SportChamps secure? We can say with confidence that SportChamps is 100% a fully legit Australian-owned tournament betting service that was launched by Alan Eskander, more famously known as the founder of the company BetStar. BetStar has sold to Ladbrokes plc. In 2014 but did, and still enjoys a rock-solid reputation.

Our SportChamps reviews research team found that they are licensed and regulated by Australia's Northern Territory Government and for South Australian residents, all of their gambling operations are governed by the South Australian Gambling Codes of Practice. They have a rock-solid privacy policy and SSL encrypted technology, keeping your transactions safe from hackers, online fraud & theft. So is there anything missing here? As we mentioned in the “Payments” section above, we would like to see the addition of some secure payment solutions such as PayPal or POLi. Overall though, we’re confident in this site.

Loyalty Programme - SportChamps Ratings & Rewards

We’ve already mentioned above that SportChamps offers 5 tournaments to all of their new customers, which you can play to win real money cash prizes. In addition to these 5 tournaments, SportChamps also has over 200 additional tournaments that all existing members can play at any time. The difference with these tournaments, however, is that they cannot be played for real money. Still though, they give you the chance to practice and play in tournaments to get a feel for the site without wagering any real money - pretty helpful if you’re a betting tournament newbie.

In terms of actual loyalty bonuses, the SportChamps Australia website and app both have a “Rewards” section. However, we have to say that SportChamps are a bit cheeky here as clicking on the “Rewards” button simply takes you to the page displaying the tournament information and potential winnings. Therefore there technically isn’t a proper rewards system, however the more tournaments you play, and the more experience you gain, the more likely you are to get your hands on bigger and better cash prizes.

Betting Markets - Our SportChamps Reviews

As with your standard fixed odds Australian bookies you’ll find plenty of racing markets with SportChamps. Included in these are virtual win, place, quinella, exacta, trifecta and first four wagers to name but a few. For other sports, you can enjoy over 30 markets per fixtures, including Match Result, First scorer, Half-time/Full-time & Total Points.

The selection of other sports is, however, perhaps slightly smaller than you might find with traditional fixed odds bookies though. At the time of writing, SportChamps offer betting markets on AFL, NRL and NBA competitions as well as soccer leagues in Europe alongside gold, tennis & more. You might miss the niche and novelty markets, but overall, everything you would usually punt on is there.

Odds - What are the SportChamps odds like?

Because you are technically virtual betting with SportChamps, the odds are calculated a bit differently and, technically speaking, they don’t matter as much as they do with fixed odds betting. This is because the odds don’t directly affect the amount of winnings you’ll take home at the end of the day - your tournament ranking does. That being said, once you’re inside of a tournament, you’ll find that the odds with SportChamps are displayed like those of a regular bookie and are written in decimal form.

Live Betting & Streaming

This is where our SportChamps ratings have a big advantage over regular fixed odds bookies. Due to the current new Australian gambling laws, regular bookmakers cannot offer any form of live betting service online - instead, they can merely display the odds with the bets themselves having to be placed over the phone. With the virtual betting service provided in tournaments, these laws don’t apply and you can place live wagers online with SportChamps Cash.

Limits - What are the SportsBet limits?

The cheapest tournaments cost just $2 to enter with the most expensive one having an entry fee of $100 - which is actually still pretty cheap. The maximum amount a single member can win per day is capped at $35,000.

Product Summary & Conclusion - The place for tournaments

If you’re into the idea of betting tournaments, or are already very much acquainted with it, then SportChamps is probably the best site in Australia for you. The range of betting markets is excellent and always growing, the potential prize funds are decent for low entry prices and the daily win limit is far from restricting.

Overall Conclusion - Summarising our SportChamps Reviews

All in all, you’re looking for something different and fancy giving betting tournaments a go, then there’s no betting place to start than with SportChamps Australia. Their easy to use website provides a perfect introduction for both new and seasoned bettors alike. If you’re already seasoned tournament betting pro, SportChamps has a lot to offer as well, with big-money tournaments, great potential winnings and a quality platform for trash talk and banter with your opponents - what more could you want from an Aussie betting experience?

SportChamps Reviews FAQ

🏧 What payment options are available with SportChamps?

SportsChamps is a little bit different from your usual fixed odds betting sites such as Ladbrokes and the others. Instead of offering real money bets for real money wins, you pay to enter betting tournaments in which you wager virtual money. How you win real money is through your overall ranking at the end of the day. Does this mean that the payment methods are different? Slightly - click here to find out more.

⚽ Does SportsChamps offer live betting?

SportChamps is a betting tournaments service rather than a traditional fixed odds Australian betting site.
